Abstract
This paper introduces an approach to porting embedded Linux OS with root file system to ARM9-based AT91RM9200 platform. Briefly depicting the characteristics and composing of Linux OS,we present the method including the configuration of U-boot, the customization and porting of Linux, and the building of ramdisk filesystem. We also give the skill about applying NFS to system software development.
