On the Construction of City Characteristics and Its Evolutionary Way——A case study of Lincang

City characteristics represent the identity of a city,bearing its regional culture,maintaining its history,reflecting the characteristics of the times.In today's urban construction characterized by Same Features for Thousands of Cities,how to grasp the characteristics of a city and inherit and reflect it in the city development and construction, has become a great and arduous task for city planners and city construction administrators.This paper,being a case study of Lincang,starting from the study of its potential characteristic resources,through distinguishing criteria,identifies the important and characteristic resources of the city.Further,based on the principle of city characteristics construction,the paper puts forward the orientation of the city.Finally it advances the evolutionary path of city characteristics from the following three aspects: the characteristic city industry,characteristic city space and the spirit of city humanities.
