Determination of BOD_5 in Wastewater

Abstract

Issues that arouse attention in the measurement of BOD5 were illustrated. To compare the amount of biochemical organic matter among various kinds of wastewater, the ratio of BOD5 to UBOD was about 0.68, based on which the value of BOD5 /COD was reliable, and biochemical ability of wastewater can be concluded. BOD5 measurement was verified by taking BOD5 in industrial wastewater measurement as an example.
