Abstract

[Objective] To observe the clinical response of acupuncture in IS(Ischemic Stroke) patients.[Method]50 patients were treated with both scalp and body acupunctures.After 3 rounds of treatment,their therapeutic responses were measured.[Result] 11 of the patients were basically recovered,13 had obvious improvement,19 experienced improvement,7 showed no response to treatment.The total response rate was 86.70%.[Conclusion]Acupuncture therapy has a significant treating effect on patients with IS,lowering the disability rate,improving the quality of life.
