The Practice of Chinese Confucian Temple Schools and Its Enlightenment

As a major form of local official schools in ancient China,the Chinese Confucian temple schools took a core position in Chinese educational history.But scholars from China mainland did few researches on this field.Few of the scholars studied Chinese Confucian temple school systematically,and all of their researches just probed its history development,and lacked the inner meaning and its enlightenment on modern education.This paper first give a brief introduction about the history of Chinese Confucian temple schools,analyzes the inner structure and then tries to explore the modern significance and enlightenment on education.
