Abstract
Objective To evaluate the marginal adaptation of full-crown restorations with different cements. Methods Thirty-two cast full crowns were restored to prepared upper third molars. They were assigned to four groups with 8 specimens each. Adhesive resin luting system, glass ionomer cement, polycarboxylate cement and zinc phosphate cement were used for crown cementation in four groups respectively. The marginal adaptation of all specimens was measured before and after cementation by a stereomicroscope. Results There was no significant difference of marginal adaptation among groups before and after cementation(P0.05). Conclusion Adhesive resin luting system exhibited satisfactory marginal adaptation as that of three traditional cements.
