Cognitive Psychology and Foreign Language Teaching

In the development of foreign language teaching,it has given birth to a series of foreign language teaching schools and different teaching thoughts.The development of foreign language teaching thoughts,to rather a degree,can be attributed as the result of the effect of the development of psychology.Undoutedly,cognitive psychology has been the most influential psychological school in the edcation section since the 1950s.This thesis focuses on discussing the influences of cognitive psychology on foreign language teaching.The influences can be divided into three major phases:cognitive foreign language teaching approach,social constructionism of foreign language teaching and narratological foreign language teaching approach.It aims to deepen the recognition of foreign language teaching and serve foreign language teaching.
