Abstract

Based on water culture,the different ratios of potassium and magnesium and two tomato varieties(TFGL,MF802)were selected to study the effect of potassium and magnesium on seedling growth,root morphology traits and potassium uptake and physiological K use efficiency.With the ratio of K/Mg increasing,the potassium adorptivity were increased significantly,but physiological utilization efficiency significantly was reduced.In the ratio(4∶ 4),the root length,root surface area,root volume and number of root forks were significantly higher than magnesium deficiency.The potassium adorptivity significantly was reduced on magnesium deficiency,and physiological utilization efficiency significantly was reduced when magnesium excessive.The reasonable ratio of potassium and magnesium advantageous to increase the biomass,K uptake and utilization efficiency.
