The effects of hypotension on nausea and vomiting after operation during anesthesia induction

Abstract

Objective: To investigate the relationship between hypotension and nausea and vomiting after operation during anesthesia induction. Methods: Forty ASA grade Ⅰ-Ⅱ patients, using Conventional Cholecystectomy(CC), were equally divided into two groups according to piesis reductions from basal piesis value during anesthesia induction. In group A,SBP of the patients was below basal piesis value(more than 30%); while in group B, SBP less than 30%. After operation, all the patients had been followed up for 48 hours and their nausea and vomiting were recorded. Results: It showed significant effects of hypotension on nausea and vomiting after operation during anesthesia induction. Conclusion: During anesthesia,maintaining hemodynamic stability can reduce the incidence of PONV.
