Abstract

The major work about screening and identification of the cancer stem cells is to determine the specific cancer stem cell markers. In recent years, some studies screened cancer stem cells from a variety of solid tumors derived from epithelial tissue by using cancer stem cell markers. However, head and neck tumor stem cells still lack of specific markers. This article reviewed the status of research on cancer stem cell candidate markers of head and neck tumors.
