Abstract

In the use of the power battery,the performance difference of battery cells will increase constantly because of cell voltage unbalance in the charge and discharge processes,which may lead to the decrease of the total storage capacity and battery life cycle.Aiming at the cell voltage unbalance,this paper analyzed the circuit model of battery equalization charge,studied the quick charge control method of the power battery,and proposed an equalization charge control strategy which can increase the battery life cycle.Based on the proposed charge control strategy,experimental system of 72V/120AH laid-acid battery charger is developed.Experimental results show its feasibility and effectiveness.
