Investigation on Sperm Quality of 223 Outpatients

Objective To investigate the sperm quality of andriatry outpatients. Methods A computer-aided sperm analysis( CASA) was performed in 223 outpatients for their sperm concentration,grade a sperm,grade b sperm, sperm viability rate. The patients were divided into normal group and abnormal group for a comparative analysis. Results The 223 patients' sperm concentration,grade a sperm,grade a and b sperm,and the sperm viability rate were( 79. 60 ±33. 26) ×106/ ml,( 14. 79 ± 11. 99) %,( 48. 51 ± 15. 96) %,( 71. 80 ± 15. 79) %,respectively. The 121 patients with normal sperm accounted for 54. 26% in contrast with the 102 abnormal cases accounted for 45. 74%. The sperm concentration,grade a sperm,grade a and b sperm,and the sperm viability rate of normal group were significantly higher than those of abnormal group( P 0. 01). Among the 102 patients in the abnormal group,there were 80( 78. 43%) with abnormal motility,16( 15. 69%) with both abnormal concentration and abnormal motility,and 6( 5. 88%) with abnormal concentration. Conclusion Abnormality occurs in the sperm quality of andriatry outpatients with poor sperm motility as the main cause.
