Abstract
Objective To compare the value of full-field digital mammography(FFDM) and contrastenhanced MRI on diagnosis of breast cancer. Methods A retrospective study of 160 patients with breast lump treated in the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi Medical University were conducted. All cases were examined by FFDM,contrast-enhanced MRI and pathology.ROC curve analysis were used to compare their accuracy rate of diagnosis on breast cancer by Medcalc softwares. Results 131 patients with mass,37 patients with calcification and 23 patients with ipsilateral axillary lymphadenopathy were detected by FFDM.134 patients with mass,31 patients with calcification and 28 patients with ipsilateral axillary lymphadenopathy were detected by contrastenhanced MRI.AUC of FFDM is 0.924 and AUC of contrast-enhanced MRI is 0.929.P 0.05 shows their difference wasn't considered statistically significant. Conclusion FFDM was the first choice of imaging examination for breast cancer.Contrast-enhanced MRI can clearly show characteristic of breast cancer. The combination of the two applications can improve the correct diagnosis rate for breast cancer.
