Enhancing Urban Transportation Planning Research and Practice and Promoting the Change of Urban Transportation Development Patterns

Aiming at increasing urban transportation problems,this paper focus on how to enhance urban transportation planning research and practice,and promote the change of urban transportation development patterns.The paper first discusses the existing urban transportation development under the integrated regional comprehensive transportation,car and public transit development,green transportation practice,travel demand management.The paper emphasizes the concept change in urban transportation development,and promotes resources conservation,human-orient-ed development,social harmony,and smart decision making.The paper also points out that while having a sustainable strategy for prioritizing public transit it is also important to coordinate the comprehensive development among sub-systems of urban transportation,and to implement travel demand management.Finally,the author stresses the training for qualified personnel for better urban transportation planning technology innovation.
