Study on Influence of City under City on Modern Urban Planning and Design of Xuzhou City

In view of the special phenomenon in Xuzhou,a famous historic and cultural city with outstanding regional characteristics,the present Xuzhou was called above City and the overlaid city under City.Natural,social and humanistic factors of the formation of under were studied,morphological features of the existing under and urban planning of the above were summarized.It was found that above of Xuzhou has been formed on the basis of renovated layouts of the old city,thus urban planning of the above should explore further cultures of the Eastern and Western Han Dynasties,and maintain characteristics of the city rationally to inherit precious historic and cultural resources of the local area,and then to propose the influence of under on present spatial layout of the city,road layout and spiritual and cultural aspects.The study was to provide new concepts for the design and planning of indigenous cultures.
