Discussion on Communicative Approach and College English Teaching

Abstract

With students problem of dumb English and ' wastetime and low efficiency in their college English study , this paper firstly points out some drawbacks in college English teaching. Then it emphasizes the necessity of communicative language teaching. Lastly it proposes some methods to deal with the problems in carrying it out.
