Abstract

ve To investigate the nerve regenerative effect of different cross-section anastomosis of nerve tract on sciatic nerve of rats. Methods 32 rats were divided randomly into four groups, cut down the sciatic nerve of each rat. Then different cross-section anastomosis of nervetract were operated on left side, the same cross-section on right. At 2, 4, 6 and 8 weeks, latent period, wave amplitude of EMG and myelinat-ed nerve fibers were seperately detected. Results All the targets of experiment side were superior to those of the control side at 4, 6 and 8 weeks. However there was no different between both of sides at 2 weeks. Conclusion The different cross-section anastomosis of nervetract could accelerate peripheral nerve regeneration
