Clinical Observation on the Treatment of Recurrent Mycoplasma Pneumonia(MP) with the Traditional Chinese Medicine Replenishing and Restoring Lung Qi

Objective To observe the clinical curative effect on the treatment of recurrent mycoplasma pneumonia with the traditional Chinese medicine replenishing and restoring lung Qi.Methods From February 2010 to June 2012,120 cases admitted to Shenzhen City Second People's Hospital were randomly(random number table) divided into treatment group and control group,the two groups underwent treatment with intravenous dripping of azithromycin for 5 days,at the same time the treatment group was given traditional Chinese medicine replenishing and restoring lung Qi.The control group were given oral azithromycin after 5 days of intravenous infusion.After four weeks,the curative effect of the two groups was compared,the patients with effective treatment in the two groups were then followed up for 6 months.Results The curative effect of the treatment group was better than that of the control group in acute phase(Z = 8.477,P = 0.014);relapse in half a year was less than the control group(Z = 15.031,P = 0.020);the curative effect after the half a year relapse was better than the control group(Z = 11.069,P = 0.004).Conclusion The traditional Chinese medicine has a definite effect on the treatment of mycoplasma pneumonia,which not only can eliminate the clinical symptom,but also reduce or even cure recurrent mycoplasma pneumonia,and possess the clinical promotion value.
