Abstract

IgA nephrosis is a Kind of primary glomerulonephritis characterized by the sedimentation of immunoglobulin A in mesangium region. Its chief clinical manifestation is paroxysmal macroscopic hematuria and continuous microscopic hematuria. TCM considered that its etiology is heal located in the lower - jiao, and the heat is classified as excess - heat and deficiency - heat. Collaterals are damaged with extravasation in case of excess - heat, and interior heat due to yin - deficiency injures the collaterals leading to hemorrhage in deficiency - heat. Moreever spleen - qi deficient with failure of blood control, and prolonged illness involves the collaterals with qi - stagnation and blood - stasis. The therapeutical principles of heat - clearing, blood - cooling, yin - nourishing, qi - benefiting, spleen - strengthening, blood circulation - activating and blood - stasis - removing should be applied, and TCM syndrome differentiation should be combined with differential diagnosis of disease so as to increase the curative effect.
