Abstract
A novel polycarboxylic coal water slurry dispersant was prepared by solution polymerization of polyethylene glycol-itaconic acid ester and styrene sulfonate and methacrylic acid as monomers, with K2S2O8 as initiator. The macromolecular polymer was characterized and analyzed by IR,TG-DTA.The effects of the monomer ratio, reaction temperature initiator usage on the dispersant′s performance were investigated, which confirmed the optimal reaction condition. The result showed that, when the concentration reached 68% of the CWS,the apparent viscosity would be 968.33 MPa·s.
