Abstract
The migration of five kinds of adipates, such as diethyl adipate, dibutyl adipate, diisobutyl adipate, bis(2-butoxyethyl adipate)and bis(2-ethyl hexyl)adipate,in PVC thin films for food strapping dipped in stim- ulant oil is determined by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry in single ion monitoring mode(SIM),with bis (1-butyl pentyl)adipate as the internal standard. The results show that adipates are quite easy to migrate from PVC thin films for food strapping to the stimulant oil.The method is simple and rapid.Qualification and quanti- fication are reliable. The recovery varies from 95.05% to 98.97% with a quite small relative standard deviation of 0.379% to 0.892% while the detection limit changes from 5 to 50μg/kg at S/N=3.
