Discussing the Mountains-and-Waters and Pastoral Poetry of Wang Wei

Wang Wei’s mountains-and-waters and pastoral poetry affected deeply by Buddhist philosophy,has been left out in the cold for a long time,because it didn’t conform to the ideological standards of the Confucianists which occupied a dominant position . But in fact,the poetry of Wang Wei had made good use of Buddhist philosophy,and created a new poetic realm. It had offered important nourishment for the mind to later literature,and also had a guideline meaning to today’s literary development.
