The Factor Analysis on Postoperative Gastric Cancer Syndromes Elements

Abstract

Objective: To analyze the traditional Chinese medicine syndrome factors of postoperative gastric cancer with the factor analysis. Methods: This study adopted retrospective case study and collected 287 cases of postoperative gastric cancer patients with TCM diagnostic information. We used general description analyze to analyses clinical data. Then we used the factor analysis to conclude syndrome factors. Results: According to the frequency analysis, we found that the common symptoms were god fatigue, anorexia and emaciation. According to the factor analysis, we draw nine common factors. The disease locations of syndrome factors were spleen, stomach and liver. The nature of disease of syndrome factors were qi deficiency, Spleen deficiency, Yin deficiency, blood stasis, phlegm-damp, qi depression and reversed flow of qi. We also worked out several syndromes of TCM, they were spleen deficiency cold syndrome, syndrome of blood stasis, Stomach Yin deficiency, Hepatic Stagnation causing Splenic Deficiency, Disharmony between liver and stomach syndrome, weakened spleen and stomach and spleen-QI deficiency.Conclusion: Through the application of factor analysis specifications in postoperative gastric cancer syndromes, we can provide certain basis for the further research of normalized postoperative gastric cancer syndrome.
