Treatment of modified MazeIII procedure on atrial fibrillation(with 30 cases report)

Objective To evaluate the effect of modified MazeⅢ procedure in atrial fibrillation.Methods 60 rheumatic valvular heart disease combine with atrial fibrillation cases were divided into observe group and control group randomly.Patients in observe undergone valve replacement operations(valvuloplasty),while treatment atrial fibrillation by bipolar radiofrequency ablation system.Patients in control group only undergone valve replacement operations(valvuloplasty).Results here are no death and any other complications related to bipolar radiofrequency ablation system modified Maze Ⅲoperation in observe group.Recovery rate of artial fibrillation in the observe group by the day of operation and 1 week,1 month,3 month after operation are 93.3%,86.6%,83.3%,96.6%respectively,which were significantly higher than that of control group(23.3%,6.66%,6.66%,6.66%).Conclusion The effect of modified MazeⅢ procedure in atrial fibrillation is satisfactory.
