Abstract
The paper mainly introduces two new armature structures of brushless DC motor,namely divided armature and hinged armature.Firstly,the preconditions for adopting the types of armature were analyzed.Secondly,the lamination,armature core and slot insulation were discussed in detail.A special brushless DC motor was used to explain how to wind and assemble the divided armature.Finally,it proves that the divided armature and hinged armature brushless DC motors have the advantages of lower core cost and higher performance compared to the traditional structured brushless DC motor.
