Abstract

High data-rate underwater acoustic(UWA) communication is an important research domain of oceanic engineering and underwater information transmission.First, the two main schemes of underwater acoustic communication are described, including single carrier with time-domain equalization(SC-TDE) and orthogonal frequency division multiplexing(OFDM).Then, the development history and characteristics of those schemes are presented, and the research results of the research group in this area are given,in particular, the underwater acoustic communication based on single carrier with frequency domain equalization. Finally, the prospect of high-data rate underwater acoustic communications is protrayed.
