Abstract

Objective To evaluate the clinical value of radiofrequency ablation( RFA) combined with transcatheter hepatic arterial chemoembolization( TACE) on hepatic carcinoma. Methods 61 patients with primary liver cancer were divided into two groups: 34 cases were treated with TACE alone and 27 cases were treated with TACE combined with RFA. To evaluate the efficacy with DSA、CT、ultrasound and serum alpha-fetoprotein( AFP) after treatment. Results The tumor efficiency、relapse rate and 1-year survival rates of TACE group were 52. 9% 、38. 2% 、48. 4% respectively, and those of the TACE + RFA combination group were 85. 2% 、59. 3% and 79. 4% respectively, and there was statistical differences between the two groups( P 0. 05). Conclusion Compared with TACE,TACE + RFA is effective for advanced liver cancer. It is an effective method for the treatment of advanced hepatocellular carcinoma, and has high clinical value.
