Abstract

A decoupled backstepping adaptive excitation control of sliding mode is presented for single-machine infinite - bus system to improve its robust stability. For the nonlinear systems with the semi - strict feedback form of uncertain parameters, the backstepping control design method is used to construct Lyapunov function, and the adaption control and sliding mode variable structure control are combined to achieve the adaptive sliding mode control and adaptive gain control, based on which, the adaptive generator excitation controller of sliding mode is designed for the feedback linearization model of single - machine infinite - bus system with excitation control. Simulation results show that, the proposed excitation controller can stabilize the uncertain power system and maintain generator voltage effectively, and has better performance than the backstepping adaptive excitation controller.
