77 cases of postoperative chylothorax in esophageal cancer

Abstract

Objective To analyze the diagnosis and treatment of chylothorax after thoracic surgery.Methods 77 cases of chylothorax after thoracic surgery were retrospectively analyzed.Results There were 76 cases(98.70%) cured including 57 cases treated with conservative treatment and 19 cases surgical treatment.Conclusion The incidence of postoperative chylothorax was low and the treatment should be based on the principle of comprehensive prevention and active treatment.
