Abstract

The West Dongting lake was studied as research landscape and was divided into nine landscape types.Landscape structure under the 30m grain was analyzed,and Fragstats was used to calculate five indices in different particle sizes of landscape type level,and the grain-size effect of the landscape indices of various types was discussed.The result showed that: the main landscape type in the study area was non-forest,and cedar landscape type was the least.The other indices were almost regular power function of declining trend and showed the obviously grain-size effect,except for the area-weighted average shape index.The cedar landscape type occupied less area ratio in the nine landscape types,so it showed a different response curve.The result also showed that: the grain-size which was suitable for analyzing the landscape type level in the study area should be 30~90m.
