Discussion on cognitive model of natural disasters

People develop different ways to deal with natural disasters,the manifestation and result of which are distinctive during different historical period.The cognition of natural disasters determines how people cope with these disasters and the attitudes towards the fighting and reducing natural disasters.According to the developing history of natural disasters,this paper proposes three kinds of cognitive models of disasters,i.e.disasters-sacrifice model,disasters-harm model,and disasters-loss model,and probes into the roots of these three cognitive models.
