Abstract
The developmental models of world-class universities can be divided into two types,Starter endogenous model and model. The second model can be subdivided into three types: the first being actively promoting the existing universities to catch up with world-class universities;the second being entering the list of world-class universities by university amalgamation, and the third being creating new universities to meet the standards of world-class universities. The experiences of founding and running those postnate-exogenous world-class universities, and the countermeasures when challenged, are of great value to the construction of domestic world-class universities.
