Progress of the diagnosis and therapy for flail chest

To review the progress of clinical diagnosis and therapy of the wounded who had suffered from flail chest.The chest wall floating and the pulmonary contusion are the two important factors to cause the hypoxemia and the respiratory dysfunction in the flail chest wounded.The pulmonary contusion,flail chest,complication and multiple injury which comes along with the accident are the key points which should be emphasized in the treatments.We chose rib bone plate which was made by nickel-titanium alligation and other materials to control chest wall floating in surgical treatment as our first choice.
