Video Data Acquisition and Compression of Network Monitoring System

Abstract

This paper describes the application of DirectShow and H.264 to implement the video captures and compression in network video monitoring system.Adopt WDM as the video capture method,which can enhance the efficiency and generality of video captures.Utilize H.264,one of the video coding standards based on content,to encode the video stream,which can get higher coding rate and better encoding quality.
