Abstract
Based on field investigation and statistical analyses, the flora and plant resources of pteridophyte in Damushan Natural Reserve are studied in this paper. The result shows that:(1)The biodiversity is very rich. There are 173 species pteridophyte belonging to 73 genera and 37 families. The amount of the families, the genera and the species account for 86.05%,66.97% and 44.47% in Chongqing,respectively.(2)Dominant genera and families are prominent. There are 8 dominant families containing 6 or more species and 15 dominant genera containing 4 or more species.(3)The species, genera and families are characteristic of complex geographical elements. The flora has close affinity with tropical flora and obviously transitional characteristics from tropical to temperate zones.(4) The flora is ancient in origin.
