Study on Zoysia seed germination characteristic and dormancy types

Through measure the nondormancy and dormancy Zoysia seed of Lanyin Ⅲ and Qingdaos the rate of water consumed,the intension of respiratory and the content of dehyolrogenase,discussed Zoysia seed dormancy types.The result showed that the rate of water consumed in nondormancy seed is more than the dormancy seed.The nondormancy seeds intension of respiratory and the content of dehyolrogenase increased more rapidly than dormancy seeds and the difference between of them is significantly.Zoysia seed germination appropriating environments are 30~35℃ with light.The factors,which influence seed dormancy,are multiple.The seed coat nonpereafility and inhibitor of germination in seed are caused the seed dormancy.So Zoysia seed is belong to type of mix-dormancy.
