Study on assessment methods of heavy metal pollution in river sediments

Abstract

Assessment of heavy metal contamination in aquatic sediments is an important part of current theoretical study of water-environment pollution.The major assessment methods of heavy metal contamination in sediments which are used currently are summarized,a comparative study is made,and their applicability,merits and demerits are analyzed.The feasible principle and methods for assessing the heavy metal pollution are put forward.
