Discussion on Role of Adult Education in Constructing a Learning Society

Abstract

It is a very important goal of the development and reform of Chinas’ education to build up a learning society in which the whole nation insists on lifelong learning.Adult education is one of the important parts in educational organization of learning society.Therefore,adult education should serve the learning society,embody the modern education philosophy,and provide flexible and variety of education forms and abundant learning resources.And adult education should also meet the needs of learning society,seek for chance of development,and contribute to constructing a learning society in which all people will learn or pursue lifelong education by exploring the definition of its function and pattern of development.
