Abstract
In the context of high urbanization speed in China,many social problems caused by urban sprawl are becoming increasingly acute. From the researches on the problems and solutions of American urbanization and in consideration of the national condition of China such as large population,limited land,low per capita resource,unbalanced social and economic development,urban-rural dual structure and single-center-layered-developing-based urban form,several suggestions are put forward in many aspects such as multiple land use,reinforcing spatial dredging of population,priority to public transport,encouraging multicenter urban form and retaining urban characteristics to maintain the sustainable development of urbanization.
