Yangtze River Delta Regional Communication Integration and the Countermeasures of Jiangsu Telecommunication Industry

Communication integration is not only an essential part of economic integration,but also an important impetus to promote the development of economic integration.Based on study of the meaning of economic integration and communication integration in the Yangtze River Delta,this paper analyzes the motives for developing communication integration in the Yangtze River Delta,and points out various problems that hinder the development of communication integration in Yangtze River Delta.Those problems include administrative system constraints,uneven development of regional communications infrastructure,wide gaps within the two provinces and one city in terms of communication fees,and existing status of division in terms of communication productions.Jiangsu communications industry should grasp opportunities and meet challenges in providing policy support,promoting the integration of provincial communications,establishing a regional coordination mechanism,implementing pilot and example within the province,and guiding each operator to carry out integrated business within the scope of the Yangtze River Delta.In this way,Jiangsu province can gradually take the road for development which conforms to reality of communication industry and be in line with the overall interests of the Yangtze River Delta at the same time.
