Abstract
Objective The value of diagnosis for the Oddi sphincter dysfunction via endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) was studied. Methods Several examinations were performed in 21 cases of the Oddi sphincter dysfunction. Their diagnostic features of endoscopy and X ray appearances with ERCP in Oddi sphincter dysfunction were analysed and compared with those with other ways such as some related tests in clinic laboratories, B ultrasound. Results ERCP can display directly the position, shape, size of duodenal papilla, the shape of entrance and degree of dysfunction in the Oddi sphincter, and the dilation of pancreatic duct and biliary duct, particularly display the shape and edge of the choledochus terminal and ampulla. Conclusoin ERCP is the best way in the diagnose of Oddi sphincter dysfunction presently.
