Abstract

On the basis of correlative research at home and abroad,by using the export coefficient model, together with RS and GIS technology, the spatial simulation and load estimation of the non-point source pollution load of Yangtze River Basin were conducted and the chemical oxygen demand, total nitrogen, total phosphorus and ammonia nitrogen non-point source pollution load and its spatial distribution maps of the Yangtze River were obtained. The amount of non-point source pollution of Yangtze River in 2000 was obtained. For the spatial distribution, the Dongting Lake water system, the main stream below Hukou River and the Poyang Lake water system contributed a great deal to the non-point source pollution load of the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River. The spatial simulation to the large-scale non-point source pollution of the Yangtze River has important theoretical and practical significance on non-point source pollution research and control.
