Abstract
Objective To study characters of internet use and the impact on mental health among internet addiction disorder(IAD) patients,and to provide evidence for the prevention against IDD.Methods A total of 1 784 students were chosen randomly and interviewed with the Questionnaire on IAD,SCL-90 and Sensation Seeking Scale(SSS-V).Results The total prevalence rate of IAD was 7% and male students in low grade was the high prevalence population.IAD patients spent more time and money on internet.Positive response was found in the factors of obsessive compulsive,depression,interpersonal sensitivity,sleeping and eating,furthermore,they had higher disinhibition.Conclusion IAD have great impact on college students' mental health,so we should induce them using internet correctly.
