Empirical research is made on fixed-asset investment in western China's industrial structure adjustment based on the economic inertia theory.According to the coefficient matrix of inertia in the economy,the western provinces and autonomous regions are divided into four categories by using Cluster analysis: The first category is Ningxia,Gansu and Tibet are the second,Yunnan Province is the fourth,while the rest provinces belong to the third category;For all kinds of regional economic inertial characteristics,we put forward some methods and measures that are suitable for the development of western China to optimize the industrial structure of fixed assets investment structure in western provinces and autonomous regions.
