Abstract
Thermodynamic calculations of the synthesis processes of both dimethyl ether and methanol is made. The results show that CO 2 equilibrium conversion rate of dimethyl ether synthesis is higher than that of methanol synthesis in the same reaction conditions. For the process of dimethyl ether synthesis by CO 2 hydrogenation, the equilibrium conversion decreases with the increasing of temperature, and increases with the increasing of pressure, the higher ratio of H 2 to CO 2 is profitable to the reaction of dimethyl ether synthesis from CO 2.
