STUDY OF CORN STARCH PLASTICIZED BY COM-PLASTICIZER

Abstract

The plastic starch was made of corn starch plasticized by urea,formamide and glycerol.The mechanical properties of plastic starch made of com-plasticizer in different formulation were studied.The results showed that com-plasticizer containing alcohol and amide can plasticize starch,alcohol-plasticizer and amide-plasticizer have synergy in plasticizing efficiency,the best synergic ratio was between 3/7 and 4/6.
