Research and Application of Software Cost Estimation

Abstract

The existing techniques of software cost estimation are summarized and compared.Based on the monitoring system of a cargo airport,COCOMOⅡ,the mature model of software cost estimation is used to estimate the lost of the system.The experiment result is very accurate,but it needs to be improved in some areas such as the developer's experience,scalability of development and the estimation of the code line.Finally,some proposals for COCOMOⅡare put forward.
