Abstract
Based on the theories of the wave load prediction and finite element, the structure analysis of the main structure of deepwater semi-submersible crane vessel is conducted. The SESAM program is applied to the quasi-static analysis by FEM for the crane under extreme load condition. The stress criteria of ABS rule is referred to check the strength of the structure near the main crane base.It is proved that the high strength steel is feasible to be used in deepwater semi-submersible crane vessel.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
