Abstract

Objective: To evaluate the role of early enteral nutrition in the treatment of patients with severe acute pancreatitis(SAP).Methods: Sixty-four SAP patients were randomly divided into two groups,43 in the treatment group and 21 in control group. All the patients of SAP were received conventional treatment, and treatment group was treated by enteral nutrition, and the control group was treated by total porentenal nutrition(TPN).Results: In the treatment group, the time of the abdomen distension alleviation was short(P0.05),and the levels of serum amylase and urinary amylase were decreased(P0.05),and the ratio of pancreatic infection and the multi-organ function failure were remarkably decreased, compared with the control group after treatment(P0.05).Conclusion: The method of early enteral nutrition has important role in the treatment of patients with SAP.
