Clinical Analysis of Amputation after Injury of Popliteal Artery

Objective:The aim of this study was to summarize the popliteal artery injuries treatment failure experiences and lessons,and to provide the basis of clinical diagnosis and treatment for popliteal artery injuries.Methods:By summary up 11 cases of popliteal artery injury leading to amputation in our hospital,analyze the reasons for treatment failure.Results:11 cases of patients with popliteal artery injury leading to amputation,in addition to two cases of severe traumatic leading to I period amputation,another 7 cases lead to amputation because of delayed treatment,although 2 cases with smooth blood circulation,but crush syndrome and acute renal failure also lead to amputation.Conclusion :The popliteal artery injury lies in early diagnosis and early treatment,accurate and skilled microsurgical techniques and proper postoperative treatment is the key to success.
